Hey beautiful people,
We’re Sarah and David, a worldschooling family of over 10 years. Our journey started in 2011 when a corporate job took us from the U.S. to Europe, and we’ve been traveling ever since—sometimes as expats, sometimes as nomads, always searching for meaningful connections.
We knew from the moment our first child was born in 2013 that we wanted him to grow up in a world where travel wasn’t just occasional—it was woven into his life. Since then, we’ve welcomed two more children, each born in a different country. Some of our favorite places have been Cape Town, Budapest, and Antigua, Guatemala, but the real search has always been for community.
What we’re looking for:
We’ve lived in many wonderful places, but we haven’t yet found a heart-centered community to live in reciprocity with land and people. Whether an intentional community or a strong network of like-minded families, we want to invest in a space where we can heal, grow, and raise the next conscious generation.
A Bit About Us
David is a systems and service designer with a background in AI and process engineering, but he’s also deep into mushroom cultivation, trading, and building this platform to support worldschooling families. After years of corporate work that left him feeling disconnected, he’s now focused on creating something that truly matters.
I (Sarah) am a writer, professional editor, and an ICEERS-certified psychedelic integration coach. My path has been one of healing and cycle-breaking, growing up in an abusive household, finding my way through yoga and plant medicine, and now helping others find their own path to healing and authenticity.
Our kids (Spencer, 11, Cormoran, 7, and Piper, 6) are creative, sensitive, and growing into themselves in their own unique ways:
- Spencer is an empath, an artist, and a deep thinker who dreams of finding friends to create comics and collaborate on art projects. He’s also silly and hilarious, with a sharp wit.
- Cormoran is neurodivergent, full of facts, games, and ideas. He’d love to find a D&D group and thrives in a stable, low-stimulation environment.
- Piper is both shy and fiery - she loves painting, playing outside, and make-believe games, but she’s been longing for more kids her age to connect with.
How We Learn & Live
We’ve blended unschooling, homeschooling, worldschooling hubs, and public school, always prioritizing emotional well-being over rigid education models. We focus on nonviolent communication, radical honesty, and personal growth through meditation, yoga, plant medicine, and community support circles.
We’ve been living in Antigua, Guatemala for over a year now, but are moving to Mexico next week. We’re looking for a home base near Puebla or Tepoztlán, a place where we can explore coliving and support families transitioning into the worldschooling lifestyle.
Our dream? To co-create a sanctuary where families can heal, grow, and thrive together, where our kids can build friendships that help them transition away from the commercial world and into something deeper, more connected.
Excited to meet all of you. Let’s build something amazing.
